Expensive of Wazobia FM donates items to Abuja orphanage home Renowned  radio presenter and Head of Station, Wazobia FM, Mr Expensive James, has donated relief materials worth thousands to Marvelous Anricia orphanage home in Tunga Ajima village in Dei-Dei, Abuja. NASS Workers To Commence Warning Strike Monday

Workers of the National Assembly are to commence a four-day warning strike on Monday in continuation of their protest to demand better welfare. The workers on the platform of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), National Assembly chapter, took the decision to embark on the strike on Friday. The Chairman of the association, Mr Bature Mohammed, said in a statement in Abuja the decision was reached in an emergency congress held on Dec. 14. President Muhammadu Buhari is due to present the 2019 Appropriation bill to the joint National Assembly on Wednesday, December 19. Mohammed said that the warning strike which would run till Dec. 20, was to press home the demands of the association. The chairman advised that all members of the association should stay away from their duty posts during the period. Umahi Sacks EBBC Chairman for anti party activities

 Ebonyi state governor, Engr. Dave Umahi, has sacked the Board Chairman of the Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC), Mrs Patience Ogodo. Umahi’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Uzor, who issued a statement Saturday, said that the sack was sequel to Ogodo’s suspension as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees. The Young Progressive Party (YPP) candidate for AMAC/Bwari Constituency for next year's House of Representatives election, Prince David Adetunji Adeyeye, has called for members of the National Assembly to veto President Muhammadu Buhari's refusal to sign the 2018 Electoral Amendment Bill. The Acting Chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has advised Nigerians not to listen to some sections of the public which habour the feeling that the anti-corruption fight is a witch-hunt carried out by the administration of the President Muhammadu Buhari to fight those described as perceived enemies of the government. Why Ebonyi State is absent at national sports festival- Umahi

The Ebonyi Government on Saturday gave reasons for the non participation of its athletes at the on-going National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abuja. Mr Charles Akpuenika, the state’s Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the government was concentrating on locally-organised sporting events to unearth hidden talents. Akpuenika noted that the government organised several sporting events in 2018 as the talents discovered would be groomed to equitably represent the state in zonal and national competitions. “We have organised the inaugural David Umahi Tertiary Institutions Games (DUMTIGA) where several talents were discovered from the participating tertiary institutions in the state. “The state also organised the David Umahi Para-military games where security agencies to promote unity among the agencies and ensure the fitness of their officers. “The school sports competition which was last organised in 2008 is presentl
